I’ve categorically been told I’m one of the only people using Exchange Tasks for flagging email and managing my workload…I’m sure there are others out there! Another such scenario is calling into the older Exchange EWS APIs to do things that aren’t released yet, for various reasons, such as my favorite getting my Outlook Tasks.
